Lauren was initially exposed to yoga at the age of 17, when she took a hot yoga class with a few of her friends. She was immediately drawn to it, and would go to class periodically throughout her college years. After graduating, she felt overwhelmed by the demands of her job and turned to yoga as an outlet to relieve stress and anxiety. It was during this process of healing where she fell in love with the practice. The last 3 years have been an immense period of physical, mental, and emotional growth, which she attributes to her yoga practice.
As someone with a background in contemporary dance, Lauren instantly resonated with Red's focus on dynamic movement and transitions between postures. This style of Vinyasa allows her to get lost in the movements and to experience yoga as an art form. Lauren strives to create a class environment that allows students to play with their own creativity and to realize their most authentic self. Her classes provide a space for students to work with the breath, experience new postures, and to flow to fun and upbeat music!
