Alexandra describes herself as a wanderluster, endorphin seeker, healthy lifestyle advocate, avid yogi, acro-yogi, and a student - always striving to fulfill her thirst for knowledge. Alex was a soccer player for the majority of her life and refused to ever stretch! It wasn’t until she found hot vinaysa at Red that she was able not only to touch her toes, but also increase her flexibility and strength in her mind as well as her body.
Alex loves to fuse her taste of music, style of vinyasa, and spunky personality into one practice. She believes smiling is the best medicine and that yoga is therapy. This is clear in her classes that often speak to the intellectual, emotional, and spiritual aspects of regular practice. Alex is forthright about being somebody who has been exposed to the realities, struggles, and consequences of mental health issues. She became a yoga instructor to share practical tools to overcome feelings like anxiety, depression, and self-doubt through the vehicle of yoga. Most of all, Alexandra encourages all of us not to be intimidated by yoga! We move to be moved.
