Carter has practiced yoga for over twenty years. He found his passion for teaching in 2007 after making his first feature documentary film "ONE," spending three years with some of the world’s greatest spiritual teachers, authors, and icons (Deepak Chopera, Ram Das, Robert Thurman, Ken Wilber and Thich Nhat Hanh). He learned the classic eight-limbed path of Ashtanga with legendary yogini, Beryl Bender Birch. Since then Carter has assisted and worked with Wade Imre Morissette traveling about the country offering workshops, events, and retreats. He teaches a variety of styles ranging from hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative. Carter is a Michigan native, artist, writer, and independent filmmaker. He has made Ann Arbor his home since 2012.
Carter loves practicing and teaching yoga for the new insight it gives him with every session. He offers a safe space for everyone to find their unique practice that will serve their body in that moment, on that day, without judgment or attachment.
